Library SMS is a text messaging service built for public and university libraries

Text messaging provides an opportunity for libraries of all sizes to create new services and to reduce cost of operations. For example, patrons can be offered reference service in which they send inquires to their library from their cell phones. Librarians on duty get these inquiries through regular email client and use the same interface to reply back to the patron's phone.

Similarly, a library may automate its reminder or book renewal process through the use of text messaging. All required technology is provided and hosted by Upside. There are no downloads, installation or training required.

Our solution supports both individual libraries and library consortiums.
